About

Auburn's girls troop in the Scouts BSA era

Troop 8401 is the girls troop in the Auburn Scouting program. The current live Google Site shows the troop operating on a weekly schedule in Auburn, with Scoutbook used for calendars and troop activity planning.

The existing Troop 401 history summary in this repo notes that girls troops started in Auburn in 2019. That gives the clearest available starting point for Troop 8401's story.

The program language preserved on the live 8401 site stays close to the core Scout values: outdoor responsibility, service, and youth growth through steady participation.

Troop Life

Calendar, activities, and troop rhythm

The live Troop 8401 home page points families to Scoutbook for the troop calendar and current activity schedule.

That same page highlights regular troop activities, the shared Auburn meeting location, and ongoing Eagle recognition, which suggests an active program rather than a simple archived page.

If your family is comparing troops, the most direct next step is to contact the 8401 leaders and ask about upcoming meetings, campouts, and how new Scouts are onboarded.

Milestones

Short history and current signals

Troop 8401 does not have the same long archival record in this repo as Troop 401, but the live site and the broader Auburn troop history still give us a usable outline.
