Prerequisites
Before taking the role
- Should hold the rank of Star, Life, or Eagle.
- Should have completed a full six-month term as Patrol Leader or Assistant Patrol Leader.
- NYLT experience is recommended.
Duties
Core responsibilities
- Help the Senior Patrol Leader lead meetings and activities.
- Run the troop when the Senior Patrol Leader is unavailable.
- Help train and supervise other junior leaders.
- Serve on the Patrol Leaders’ Council.
- Set a good example in uniforming, Scout spirit, and outdoor participation.
