Prerequisites
Before taking the role
- Should hold at least First Class rank.
- Previous service as Assistant Patrol Leader is recommended.
Duties
Core responsibilities
- Appoint the Assistant Patrol Leader.
- Represent the patrol in the Patrol Leaders’ Council and in troop activities, meetings, and outings.
- Plan, guide, and manage patrol work.
- Help each patrol member set an advancement goal and work toward it.
- Build patrol morale with the patrol flag and patrol yell.
- Keep patrol members informed and prepared for troop activities.
- Track attendance and submit it to the Scribe.
- Handle head counts for outings by the requested deadline.
- Set a good example in uniforming, Scout spirit, and outdoor participation.
